The Black Plague is a bacteria found inside rodents and fleas. But because of their fleas it can sometimes infect humans.The cause of the black plague wasn’t discovered until mid 1850’s from the global outbreak. It started in China in the year 1855 and didn’t officially end until 1959. A few years later after 1894 doctors noticed that rats showed similar plague symptoms compared to people. The different varieties of animals that can cause the plague includes mice, camels, chipmunks, prairie dogs, rabbits, and squirrels, but the most dangerous for humans are rats.
Bubonic plague- the disease’s most common form, it starts with painfully swollen lymph nodes
Septicemic plague- which spreads through the bloodstream, it comes either from fleas or having contact with the plague from something living
Pneumonic plague, the most infectious out of all three, it’s an advanced stage of bubonic plague when the disease starts being passed directly or through airborne droplets coughed from the lungs.
If left untreated, the bubonic plague kills about 50% of those who are infected. The other two forms of plague are more than likely fatal without antibiotics. Pestis needs strength and the ability to disable its victim’s immune system. It does this by injecting toxins into cells that are able to detect bacterial infections. Once these cells are knocked out, the bacteria can multiply. If they are given the right antibiotics people are able to heal and survive in time. Sanitation and pest control will help prevent bringing back the plague.

One of my favorite characters is Luke, the boyfriend of London. I like Luke because he’s a sweet, kind, and caring guy. When Luke shows up as the new kid, he and London meet for the first time, in London’s mind anyway. Jamie is London’s best friend. One day London goes over to Jamie’s house to spend the night, and they get into a fight.
My favorite part is when London finds letters from her dad in her mom’s closet. The reason it is my favorite part is because my parents are divorced, just like hers, and I do not get to see my dad every summer. But just like London and her dad, my relationship with my dad is slowly becoming closer and closer every year.
I enjoyed this book. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good book that is contemporary filled with mystery and romance. On a scale 1 to 10,1 being the worst and 10 being the best, I would probably rate it as a 8.5.
If I had a sense that I wouldn’t want to loose it would be my sense of smell. The reason I choose my sense of smell is because I wouldn’t like to live my life with out smelling anything. I mean think about it, would you like to live your life without smelling anything, even when you where born? That would be horrible.
My sense of smell makes my life better because if I didn’t have my sense of smell my life would be bland I would have to depend on my other senses. Which, I love smelling perfume, flowers, and a lot of other wonderful smelling things.
All thanks Martin Luther King Jr. he had the guts to end segregation. Now, it’s are turn to do something that will help the planet forever. What my idea to make a difference in this world is to recycle plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and paper plates.
The reason I am choosing to recycle is well you see, one day I decided I wanted to help the earth but I didn’t know how. So, that’s when I told my mom she said”. Well honey if you really want to help the earth then u can help by recycling”. I said” how?” She said that I can recycle paper plates, plastic bottles and aluminum cans. That’s is my story.
“Its 1933 I’m at my grandparents house for the next 2 weeks in the United States but I’m originally from Germany. I keep hearing about this Adolf Hitler person, from family. They say he is promising them that they will never be defeated if they work together”. 2 weeks later. I’m home with my loving & caring family. When I got back home I saw really big buildings. I wondered what they were for so I went to my friend’s house the Johansen’s. I rang the door bell no one answered the door which was unusual because when the Johansens open the door when they hear it the first time. So I knew something was up. That night I asked my sister what what had happened and why the Johansens weren’t home. She said that the Nazi party came and took some Jewish people away from there homes and relocated them. I asked my sister if we could gather up some of the Jewish people and take some up to my fathers house cause he is rich and he has a lot of space and food to feed them all. She said “yes I think that would be ok ill have to call him and find out if its ok with him”. So once we got everyone inside my fathers house I went in and said “hi” we talked for about an hour or two I asked him if my friends would be safe. H said that they were safe and that the war would end soon.2 years later. The World War 2 is over ,my best friend is home, all concentration camps are destroyed and some Jewish people are saved. I love happy endings.
Over Christmas break I went skating at skateplex. We were there for 2 hours. It was really fun but I didn’t know how to skate at first but I kind of got the hang of it. But then we had to leave because we had to go to my sister’s dentist appointment. Of course it wasn’t very fun there. When we got home I went over to my friend’s house and we played Mario Brothers on her new red wii. It was about 7:00 when I got home that night. On Christmas Eve my parents went shopping for a long time I mean they left our house at about 10 a.m. and they didn’t show up at our house again until maybe 11p.m.Then when they got home we got to open a present cause it’s been a tradition from a long time in our family. On Christmas Day I didn’t get up until 11 o’clock in the morning. When I got up everyone was ready to open presents. I got a guitar and skate board for Christmas it was so awesome. That day I went out side and play with my skate board until it was 6 o’clock p.m. I had so much fun; I wasn’t ready for Christmas to be over.
